The Necromancer
a fugue macabre
for piano or organ:
Printed Edition on Lulu:

The Necromancer
a fugue macabre for piano or organ
includes 3 other bonus works for keyboard
The Necromancer : a fugue macabre went through about five revisions before I was completely done with it, but it easily became my favorite of my own keyboard works. I wrote it in the spirit of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice by Dukas, and Danse Macabre by Saint-Saens : a little dark, but mostly fun.
A necromancer is a wizard that performs his magic through some kind of converse with the spirits of the dead. For the record, I don’t really believe in that kind of thing, but I love Halloween and all that kind of stuff for the humorous side of it all. If we can’t laugh at death, then we’re doomed to be afraid of it.

Fantasy for Organ
based on a fractal algorhythm
free PDF edition :
as performed live in recital by the incomparable Neil Thornock (unfortunately the sound engineer cut of the first couple of seconds of this excellent performance, hence the fade-in) :
as performed by my computer (so you can hear the first few seconds) :
This is another experimental piece that I created using fractal algorhythmic software that no longer exists. It is a fun piece that was featured once on MP3.com when it first came out and has been performed by several organists, including Neil Thornock and Carson P. Cooman.
Send me a recording of your performance and I’ll post it here!
Fantasy for Organ is included in this Printed Edition on Lulu:
