Seven Voices in the Eleventh Hour
a sound collage

Now this was an interesting project I did while still in school. I gave seven students tape recorders and sent them about campus during the 11 o’clock hour. We synchronized our watches to start our recorders at the same time then arranged a time and place to meet at and turn off the recorders 15 minutes later. I took the recordings and crafted the following sound collage:
